As visitors return to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park for the mountaintop fun they’ve missed over the past few months, they’ll find there’s a lot to take in including a newly-completed arrival building at the base, as well as enhanced safety procedures for operating in a COVID-19 environment.
Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park reopened to the public on Monday, June 8. While temporarily closed, there was a lot going on behind the scenes at the mountaintop theme park. Employees were working on a variety of projects including readying the park with updated facilities and enhanced safety procedures. Now with big happy smiles beneath our face masks, we’re ready to welcome guests back for high flying fun, cave tours and more.
A New Arrival Center
One of the projects recently completed is Glenwood Caverns’ new Arrival Center, the first stop for park visitors. The structure which recalls frontier-town architecture features a large, old-fashioned clock as its centerpiece. Online ticket purchases, touchless check-in and a VIP entrance for pass holders and those with lodging and activity partner discounts create a streamlined and safer admissions process. The building’s new restroom facilities also provide welcome comfort and convenience for visitors at the base.
Make Reservations Online for Park Admission
For the foreseeable future, to enhance both visitor and employee peace of mind, we’ll be embracing a touchless check-in procedure. The easy-to-use online system will enable you to:
- Purchase tickets on the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park website—choose a Funday Pass, Gondola & Cave Tour pass, Gondola only pass
- Choose a one-hour window for arrival and check-in at the Arrival Center
To further minimize contact points, we’ll be asking guests to apply their own color-coded activity wristbands, as well as swipe their own credit cards for food and gift purchases throughout the park.
Once at the park, we invite you to stay as long as you like to enjoy all your favorite thrill rides, family attractions, cave tours, as well as dining, shopping and more. For the time being however, we will not be able to allow visitors to re-enter once they have left the mountaintop.
Having Fun Together While Social Distancing
While continuing to provide our signature Colorado-style hospitality and entertainment, meeting and exceeding government guidelines for operating in a COVID-19 environment has been a top priority. Here are some of the safety measures some you can expect on your next visit to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park.
- Face coverings are required for employees and guests
- Health screenings and enhanced training of our employees
- Touchless transactions whenever possible
- Protective plexiglass shields at registers
- Enhanced cleaning and disinfection of common touchpoints throughout the park
- Smaller groups on caves tours
- Social distancing markers throughout the park
- Hand sanitizing stations throughout the park
